The placement cell of an institution plays a vital role and is the important part of the institution. The competition for employment is increasing everyday along with new frontiers of employment in teaching profession. It acts as a liaison between the interests of the students and the recruiting agencies. The role of placement cell starts as early as organizing the past records of the students at the time of admissions, helping them to prepare and update their individual profiles by providing the technical guidance, knowledge of different pedagogies, and curriculum related experiences through variety of activities. We are trying our level best to develop the potential of our students through rigorous practical exposure and interactions. Several workshops and skill development programs are being conducted to hone the teaching skills to suit the requirement of the recruiters. It is well supported by both faculty members as well as students.

Placement Process

Through our Placement & Training Cell, we help each student in exploring placement opportunities by facilitation them to attend the recruitment process of the companies in the final year of the programme and also for student who are likely to graduate at the end of the academic year.

The final placements, at the College, are a result of very systematic interaction with the industry and continuous career counselling of the students. Right from the beginning of the programme, students are continuously counselled with regard to his/her career aspirations and options, which in turn is vigorously followed up with the potential companies for participating in the placement programme of the Institute. This not only helps the students in getting their ‘dream’ jobs but also assists the visiting placement companies in identifying the ‘right’ candidate for their organization. However, the placement will be governed by Placement guidelines.


The main objectives of the Placement Cell include:

  • To create a database of the probable recruiters
  • To create and maintain a data-bank on profiles of our present students
  • To act as liaison unit for plugging the gap between recruiters and fresh professionals to speed up the process of recruitments.
  • To organize seminar, workshops and skill development programs.
  • To provide guidance to students to prepare for competitive examinations.
  • The Placement cell will develop linkages between different schools to organize the campus interviews for the recruitment of the graduates and postgraduate students of the college
  • Encouraging and helping each student to grow and progress by achieving a clear understanding and acceptance of one's strength, interest, abilities, weaknesses, skills and values.
  • Helping each student to understand the opportunities open to them and the required input for the goal one sets.
  • To keep track of the current status of our ex-students and to record and maintain their needs and comments.
  • Publishing career literature in order to disseminate accurate information of avenues open before them.
  • Providing information regarding job opportunities and avenues for desirous graduate & PG students.
  • Acting as a catalyst in reducing unemployment.
  • To provide guidance to students for skill improvement by organizing the trainings for personality development, communication skill, mock group discussions, mock interview and resume writing etc.
  • The Placement Cell will give guidance to students for self-employments.

Activities of Placement Cell

  • The placement cell attempts to keep the students informed about potential job opportunities and guidance from time to time.
  • Interact with schools and arrange interviews.
  • Organize Career orientation & guidance Programs
  • Conduction of Mock interviews in college Campus.
  • Training in resume writing.
  • Interactions of students with renowned personalities in the field of teaching profession.
  • Providing School based experiences through various activities.
  • Adjustments in the teaching practice schedule of those students who get placement before the completion of the academic session.
  • Display of information related to vacancies in different school.
  • Arrange off-campus and campus recruitment process with recruiters.
  • Communicate with employer (schools) furnishing profile of College and particulars of students.
  • Guiding students to prepare different competitive examination like GATE, TOEFEL etc. by providing up to date information and preparation tips.

Planning for Placement

The placement activity is primarily managed by the Placement Committee headed by our Secretary with the help of other committee members which includes Principal, Placement & Training Officer, faculties and students from various departments.

Formation of Students’ Placement Committees for final placement and also for getting industrial training and industry linked project work for students.

  • Preparation of Placement Brochure for final placement.
  • Pre-placement visits (PPV) to the companies.
  • Communication, networking and relationship building with the potential recruiters.
  • Invitation to potential recruiters to visit the Institute.
  • Continuation of placement activities after the stipulated period, till all the students are placed.
  • Grooming and training of the candidates for the placements so that their chances of selection increase.
  • General follow-up, joining formalities and other administrative activities.

Placement Process

Once an organization shows interest in recruitment from the Institute, the students are asked to register their interest for the job. An email informing about the job opening and its details will be shared with the student coordinators and placement committee. Placement cell will try to get as much details as possible about the job profile. The registration of interest is to be done by students from their official Gmail ID on the provided link, after going through the job profile. It is not compulsory. Only students who register for that particular job profile will be considered for the job opening and their names and CVs will be shared with the company. It will be responsibility of a student to keep his/her resumes updated with placement cell. Once the names of students are submitted, student is not allowed to withdraw from the selection process. Sometimes companies come for Pre-Placement Talk / Group Discussion / Written Test and the short-listed students are interviewed at the campus or off the campus. Alternately, some companies select students based on their CVs and may invite them for Group Discussions/Interviews at their offices.
